  • I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Bianca Peel across innovation, STEAM, and women-in-tech initiatives, and she is a truly inspirational force in the technology space. Through her work with Code Division, she has opened doors for women and underrepresented groups by designing transformative learning pathways that place creativity and human-centred skills at the core of digital education.

Bianca’s leadership of NomadAlba further reflects her visionary approach—fusing design, technology, and ethics to create values-led models of remote collaboration. Her belief that technology should serve people, not the other way around, underpins everything she does. Her approach to remote working is not only innovative but deeply rooted in community, sustainability, and care.

As a fellow woman in inclusive tech, I know how vital it is to see leaders who uplift others while challenging the status quo. Bianca does exactly that—building communities of practice, mentoring generously, and centring lived experience in every project. Her influence across Scotland’s tech and education landscape is lasting and far-reaching. She doesn’t just lead—she inspires.

  • I’ve had the pleasure of working with Bianca Peel in various capacities for over a decade, and she remains one of the most inspiring colleagues I know. At Future Focus21c, particularly through the Muinín Catalyst Sustainable STEAM programme, Bianca has been a powerful advocate for embedding human skills into STEAM education. She integrates social-emotional learning seamlessly into her teaching, helping young people understand that empathy, collaboration, and resilience are just as vital as technical ability.

Her approach builds confidence, creativity, and a genuine belief in students’ capacity to innovate. I’ve seen how her teaching encourages young people to take risks, work together meaningfully, and view themselves as capable problem-solvers.

Bianca brings this same energy to her colleagues—leading with openness, generosity, and authenticity. She fosters supportive environments where people feel valued, heard, and empowered to grow. Through her mentorship and leadership, Bianca continually proves that the future of innovation must centre human connection and shared purpose.

She is a rare and brilliant example of what inclusive, values-driven education and technology can look like when people come first.

Digital Empowerment: Ukrainian Women

In response to the urgent arrival of displaced Ukrainian women in Glasgow, Bianca co-developed a 6 week programme turning an empty office into a vibrant learning hub with virtually no budget.

Bianca sourced and created artwork, as well as plants to create a warm, welcoming space that became more than a classroom—it became a refuge for women navigating trauma and uncertainty.

Originally designed for 20 learners, the programme rapidly expanded to 34 women. Bianca calmly adapted every detail rewriting timetables, finding extra chairs, and ensuring that no one was turned away.

In under a week, Bianca and Frank had co-designed a trauma-sensitive curriculum that integrated business English, data skills, and human-centred learning.

“I was so lucky to meet Bianca through the Ukrainian Women programme. From the very start, she became a huge inspiration to me and to many others. What makes Bianca special is not just her deep knowledge, but the way she genuinely supports and encourages us. She helps us see our true potential and pushes us to step outside of our comfort zones. Her mentorship is not just about giving advice; it’s about changing how we see ourselves and the opportunities around us. Bianca has shown me how important human skills are alongside technical knowledge, and her guidance has truly empowered me.”
